The Bun'll come out / Tomorrow

Bet your bottom dollar / That tomorrow / There'll be Bun!

I'm sure you're all sick to death of wishing me well and are like HAVE THE BABY ALREADY SO WE CAN STOP EXPRESSING EXCITEMENT AND SHIT, but I made the mistake of finishing all my work, and find myself with nothing to do. So I'll show you the completed Bun Bunery.

Owl rug! The paintings are a fairy tale series my father did. They used to hang in my niece and nephew's room, but my brother sent them a few months ago.

Squirrel and bunny lamps!

The completed quilt. Although you can't tell, I quilted leaves in the tree and clouds in the sky.

And this photo is for Misfit. (See e-mail if you're like WHUH??)

There's just one thing missing from this awesome room, and I hope to be able to bring it home with me in a few days.

  5. the bunnery is so lovely that i can't think of anything remotely funny to say.

been thinking of you a lot lately, in part because the bean's biggest nickname this week has been bunny. for year of the rabbit, of course, and because all the other nicknames (besides bean) were the cat's first and the cat was getting very bent out of shape about having to share.

  16. the Bun Bunnery is so beautiful! I love it completely. All of it. The curtains, the owl rug, the quilt, the squirrel and bunny lamps, the homemade burp cloths with squid-penises, the artwork from your dad, the chairs where you will comfort and feed and hold Bun Bun. Wow. You are going to the hospital tomorrow and will return home with a baby. I am amazed by the process. I started reading your blog in June or July last year, before Bun Bun was created. And now Bun Bun will be here! I am bursting with excitement. I can't even imagine how you feel. Know that I will be with you in thought ALL DAY LONG. Enjoy those first few hours/day with your wee one.

  18. Here, little Bun Bun...come out, come out, wherever you are.... (oooh, picked the wrong quote for the occasion....)

I hope Bun Bun's birth goes swimmingly and you are on your feet in no time. Give that baby (YOU ARE HAVING A BAAAAAAYBEEEEEEEEEE) a huge smooch from all of us and rest well, mama. This is a very, very important day indeed.

Oh, and post pictures ASAP because we demand it. :)

Sorry about that, but you know, here I am in the future, expecting to have missed it all, and, well, NOTHING!!!

  26. I am stalking your blog and sooo excited to hear the news! And love the room and am so impressed with your craftiness (you SEW!!)

Also, re your post about wanting to stay pregnant, I totally got that -- because B came early, for the first few weeks I actually missed being pregnant, but then you will be so involved with the actually baby outside of you that you will not miss it as much. And you get to actually SEE the baby when you are snuggling, which is awesome.
