(Today's title change is for you, Egghunt.)
For heaven's sake, can't a girl express a little gratitude without everyone thinking she's HAPPY? I have a reputation for pessimism and snarkiness to protect. In fact, Friday I had a department meeting that left me fuming with rage (my colleagues are such jackasses, and when I try to divert their jack-assery, I just end up being a jackass too) and hating my job, and I felt like shit all weekend and snarled at my husband and didn't get the ironing done. SO THERE! (But I suppose you guys will see through this pathetic pretense, because it's true that, globally, I am happier than I've been in a super long time. It's just that there's a heavy layer of real life on top of that happiness.)
Anyway, I wanted to share an awesome dream I had last night in which some stupid, insipid woman showed me her positive pregnancy test (it was a new-fangled design with a huge happy face and like pink and blue balloons on it) and I hurled it across the room in horror and disgust. Just so you know I am still a hater.
hahaha, you make me laugh, bunny. glad to know that pregnancy hasn't changed you, and that even in your subconscious, you can do something like hurl someone's pee stick across the room (which is something i would do as well, i'm sure). i don't think my posts lately reflect how happy i am in general lately. the fear and the hate is all that's coming out though, bc that's what i'm used to expressing :o)
ReplyDeleteHilarious dream, bunny! Also, not getting the ironing done, I totally see how hard your life is.
ReplyDeleteBTW, love the new header.
Haha. Pregnancy dreams are whack. Love it.
ReplyDeletetoo funny! i love the dream. i had a dream a few weeks ago that i took my brother and Ryan Reynolds (apparently, they're good friends) to dance lessons being held by JLo in an elementary school classroom. pregnancy dreams are whacked!
ReplyDeleteHaha...Great dream! Great header, too.
ReplyDeleteReally funny dream. Oh, yes. My goodness! You are really VERY hardcore.
ReplyDeleteI tremble before the bunny!
Love the title change bunny. By the way, you are still entitled to snarkiness :)
ReplyDeleteLove the title change - hilarious!
ReplyDeletehahahahahahhahahaahahahaha. :)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, I love "jack-assery," because it reminds me of one of my favorite words: douchebaggery. Please use early and often. You're a trip, girl. The title revamp is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteTrying to divert other people's jackassery only makes me a jackass too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy too. But not THAT happy. Yesterday a friend told me she was going off the pill and I sulked in jealousy of her soon-to-be-but-currently-nonexistent pregnancy. And that was while I was awake and 27 weeks pregnant. So, yeah.
You have ironing? Seriously, that alone would put me in a foul-ass mood. Add to that academic colleagues and you have a fairly potent mixture to hate.
ReplyDeleteBWah ha ha ha, your new title made me crack up. You are officially SAHB.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you are still kicking butt. I think I would throw up if I ever saw such a pee stick.
PS. What is this thing called ironing of which you speak?
You just kill me. I can't wait until you can take a nice break from the jack-assed colleagues, as you'll be with a real baby (instead of adults who act like babies).
ReplyDeleteLove the new title Bunny. Hate ironing, ugh. This real life layer, it sucks doesn't it? Do not get me started on jack asses at work. Glad that even though you are much happier you can still stay true to your inner witch.
ReplyDeleteSheet. I did think you were getting a little happy on me. I was diggin' it. I think you are a closeted Happy.
ReplyDeleteI hate pregnancy tests. Forever.
Just LOVE the new header bunny!!!!!!!! I'm so pleased you took my marketing advice on board! You will always be super awesome in my books!
ReplyDeleteGlum or happy, you're still super awesome.
xx
Oh, those department meetings. They can be like a giant pin deflating the balloon of happiness in a single jab. Sorry you work with jackasses:)
ReplyDeleteBut I'm glad you're globally happier, Bunny. This is GOOD. (Not to mention: deserved).
I like how you showed that pee stick. And the layer of real life on happiness. I liked that image. I hope that it's translucent enough to let the happiness get some light. I want your happiness to be alive and well.
ReplyDeleteHate on.
