While we wait...

Beta results around 1pm today. I can't believe I'm here. I never in a million years thought I would be.

So here's something to pass the time until I get that fateful call. One of the topics I teach on is neuroscience. Yesterday in class we talked about different regions in the brain. While most people have fairly similar neural organization, my brain happens to be unique. See Figure 1.

The organization of Bunny's brain

Please let this beta be positive. Please let it be really high. Like...infinity.

  4. of Course you teach neuroscience. No wonder you were able to personify your pituatary so perfectly.
I'm rooting for at least 10000. Go Bunny go!!

  5. High! It had better be high. That was a strong line. A high line. I'm sending all my best, high-thinking thoughts to you. I want this to be it for you.

Your diagram made me laugh but I want you to be drawing a different type of diagram in a few months - the one where you ponder choices like cloth diapers vs. disposable.

(And you'd better update...you have a legion of women holding their collective breath for you:)

  6. As per Adele's post, my breath is completely not flowing in and out of my lungs, for fear it would affect how high that beta is going to be. I say it will be high. HIGH!! Come on Universe: We need a baby bunny!

The bunny brain was a scream. I loved it. I just have a quick question. Is the occipital, chipmunk contemplating region also responsible for thinking up glorious chocolate raspberries tarts?

  12. Dear Universe:

Please do not let there be any ambiguity about Bunny's beta. Let it be nice and high. Like Cheech & Chong - but, y'know, different.

    Love,
    Allison

  16. Your high beta is coming....I am so excited for you and I think I'm going to be holding my breath until you update....Refreshing page now, just in case your results came early...

  17. I'm not remotely worried about your beta. I know it will be good. HOWEVER, like Trinity, I've checked your blog about 100 times since yesterday, I'm so excited. I was hoping for another pee stick from this morning, but there really is no point to that. As you may recall, my line never got any darker, thus convincing me it was chemical, when it obviously was not. So best to refrain.

Just focus on brain region 5 for now, and DEFINITELY stay away from brain region 3 (do you want to kill yourself with anxiety? No. Plus it's bad for the baby. Brain region 3 = verboten).

And for sure update us later today!!!
